Dances in Nature
Dances in Nature is a design studio inspired by nature in motion. In this studio, I explore two-dimensional and three-dimensional methods of making art. The visual interplay of light, materials, and textures informs the direction of my work.
Over the past decade, I have focused on three-dimensional metalwork rendered with the true colors of base metals enriched with textures and polishes. My first studio project, Dances in Bronze, depicts seasonal regeneration and windswept grasses interpreted through ballet poses and found objects. My current project, Prairie Dances, addresses the renewal, regeneration, and conservation of pollinator insects and their habitats.
