BRONZE SCULPTURE
Dances in Bronze
Dances in Bronze depicts seasonal regeneration and windswept grasses interpreted through ballet poses and found objects. This sculptural series is a study of the lost wax method of bronze casting. Texture, luster, and the natural color of bronze articulate the age, character, and attitude of the dancers, nest, and curly willow. This project was funded in part by a grant from the Southeast Minnesota Arts Council and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
