My dearest friend in the world…and I do mean the world…lives in Spain. We chat about once a month, and in our most recent conversation, she reminded me that she cannot see what is going on in my studio; AND, my website promised to post “current project” progress blogs in the sketchbook. Let’s just say, that I have been in an infinite procrastination loop! So, I am moving forward and will work diligently to post images and progress reports.

Beginning in March, I began reorganizing and equipping my studio. This required purchasing a few tools: a professional jewelers soldering torch, a planishing hammer, and an anticlastic metal forming stake. These were all purchased from grant funding approved by the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC). I also purchased a special tool that I have longed for for many years, a vice, and not just any vice, it is a blue vice.

The next few posts will catch-up on with the project progress details from February and through May.
